For his second seasonal capsule with Canada Goose, Creative Director Haider Ackermann deepens his exploration of the brand’s heritage through Snow Goose, the design-forward sublabel that reimagines performance wear through the language of avant-garde utility. Photographed once again by Willy Vanderperre, the global campaign stars Lara Stone alongside a cast of multidisciplinary talents, framed by vast desert backdrops that dissolve the boundary between body and landscape.
Ackermann describes the campaign as “a quiet rebellion,” stripping away layers of clothing, convention, and expectation. The resulting images disorient gently, inviting viewers to pause and reconsider what Canada Goose can be when seen through an entirely new aesthetic lens. Graphic phrases appear across garments like half-heard whispers: Can You Hear the Birds?, Embrace the Silence, Find Me Where the Wildflowers Are.
Rooted in nearly 70 years of technical know-how, the SS25 Snow Goose collection recasts legacy silhouettes in breathable, summer-ready forms. This is performance wear softened by poetics, feather-light rain jackets, deconstructed cotton parkas, and body-conscious base layers designed to move with you rather than against you. Each piece is imagined not as a barrier to the elements, but as a conduit to them.
Collection highlights include:
-
The Valor Parka: a pared-back, uninsulated version of the FW24 Rider with utilitarian pocketing and a summer-ready construction
-
The Edge Pant: cut from crisp cotton with oversized pockets, inspired by Ackermann’s personal archive
-
The Dawn Crew: a soft, premium cotton crewneck printed with reflective text fragments, built for layering and contemplation
-
The Zephyr Jacket: a three-layer technical windbreaker with vented underarms and a sculptural, aerodynamic fit
-
The Tempest Short: a minimal, movement-friendly base layer
-
The Rigel Jogger: a foundational piece drawn from Ackermann’s own wardrobe, now recontextualized within Snow Goose’s evolving code
The palette mirrors the contrast of the terrain, icy blue Arctic Mist and saturated Violet Eclipse offset against muted earth tones like khaki, clay, and beige. The mood is elemental but highly controlled, pairing function with feeling.
Ahead of the collection’s launch, Ackermann invited an intimate group of friends on a three-day desert expedition through Utah, each outfitted in the full SS25 offering. The journey became a lived expression of the collection’s ethos, a meditation on slowness, beauty, and the pleasure of dressing without constraint.
The Spring / Summer 2025 Snow Goose by Canada Goose collection is available starting June 12 at canadagoose.com and in select global retail locations beginning June 19. Additional drops will follow throughout the season.
In Ackermann’s hands, Canada Goose becomes something unexpected. Not just a shield from the elements, but an invitation into them.
