Photographer Hannah Louis Wild shares her latest series Live Laugh Love — a captivating collection of awry and nostalgic images exploring childhood, friendship, aging, and the passage of time.
Exploring fashion, adolescence, and the female gaze, the artist’s work employs a distinct melange of diaristic and editorial motifs. “I enjoy making projects that are eclectic – almost like a diary entry” she muses. ‘My visuals aim to be relatable and comforting to others, and at the same time, it makes sense for me to make bodies of work that are both heartfelt and personal to me.”
Wild, whose fascination with bedroom culture and narratives surrounding womanhood and coming of age explains the series was borne from “the transformation of girlhood to adulthood and how your friends are here to support you on this journey of becoming an adult.”
