Tidal Memory: GIGI STUDIOS Introduces Sediments

Barcelona’s GIGI STUDIOS returns this summer with Sediments, a capsule collection that translates the quiet persistence of water into three understated silhouettes: ABYSS, ETHEREA, and SHIMMER. Drawing from iridescent shells, time-smoothed stones, and water’s subtle erosion, the collection doesn’t announce itself loudly. Instead, it invites a slower looking, a pause that feels rare in the season’s rush.

The palette leans mineral and aquatic: translucent blues, soft pinks, pearlescent whites, sandy beiges. Frames are cut in lightweight acetate and stainless steel, balancing tactility and air, structure and softness. Each piece feels like a memory of travel, a washed-out postcard, salt clinging to hair, late afternoons spent in water until the sky changes.

GIGI STUDIOS has built its practice on a commitment to craftsmanship that spans generations, beginning in 1962 Barcelona and expanding globally without losing its quiet precision. With Sediments, the brand extends this lineage, offering eyewear as an extension of the body rather than decoration, an object that holds a moment without forcing it into clarity.

At the campaign’s centre is a feminine gaze attuned to the organic world, weaving body, earth, and water into a visual language that resists urgency. It’s an aesthetic that values imperfect beauty and the tactile poetry of time’s passage.

Sediments is available now.
