Fincher’s 1999 Fight Club, this shoot revisits themes
such as masculinity, rebellion, and identity.
It was quite the year for Gucci in 2022, from collaborations with Dickies, Harry Styles, and Palace to Spring/Summer 2023’s “Twinsburg” runway show and the departure of Creative Director Alessandro Michele.
Undeniably, bagels have become a symbol of Montreal culture, and a point of great contention for New York Bagel lovers (Montreal bagels are superior FYI), but what if eating them isn’t enough to express one’s love for Montreal’s most famed alimentary export?
For months we have been surrounded by boxes upon boxes of both new and old garments and heaps of objects, uniforms, and other sundry items—as a team we have sought out strategies to sort through and organize this multitude, as a kind of compendium—working with alumni/designers/artists/students/faculty we have designed and redesigned, deconstructed and reconstructed our way through the seemingly endless piles with boundless perseverance, infinite patience, and many illuminating conversations.
Wishing to reveal the constant motion of our deep desire to move onward while showcasing the tension it creates within ourselves; Notching reveals the act of stumbling with elegance, pride, and excitement.
The location for this season’s Anna Bolina runway show is a nondescript windowed room off the J train in Lower Manhattan.
