Apollo and Dionysus are Lovers is a queer reimagining of the two dichotomic gods of order and chaos, of man’s endless search for perfection against the backdrop of nature’s perpetual chaos, rebellion, and ecstasy. Photographed by Hannah Sommer and styled by Sepehr Badiei, Badiei juxtaposes handmade garments from emerging brands, Shannen Maria Samuel and Janavi Erika, alongside luxury archival pieces from the collection of Lady de Rothschild, Phillip Treacy, Swarovski, and Valentino. It is a clashing ensemble of the classic and the subversive, uniting the two battling gods by a kiss.
